Arduino / Genuino 101 – Intel Curie – Who is it good for?

CheckItOut Blog   •   May 27, 2016

Got the chance to get my hands on the new Arduino 101 (or Genuino 101 outside of the USA) and played around with it for a while.

The Arduino 101 has Bluetooth, accelerometer, a 6-axis gyro and also a real-time clock built in.

Instead of using the Atmel chip like the Arduino UNO, it uses the Intel Curie chip which runs at 32MHz and provides a 128 node Neural Network.

In this CheckItOut I got through the specs and see why you would want to get one of these for a future project.
